Annabelle's Afghans

       The Annabelle of Annabelle's Afghans is a sweet little baby doll belonging to Taylor, the daughter of a friend. Several years ago, when Santa brought a beautiful wooden bed with roses painted on it for Annabelle, Taylor's mom asked if I could make a special blanket to match. That original Rose Blankie and Pillows set is the first of eight sets (so far).

       Each heirloom-quality "blankie and pillow" set includes instructions for an "Afghan" sized to accessorize 18-inch dolls or their beds and smaller baby dolls/cradles, a "Wrap-up Blankie" for 15-inch baby dolls or larger doll bed, and a matching pillow. Sizes range from 15" x 20" to 24" x 29", depending on design, and some larger sizes may also be suitable for preemie babies or for car seat/ baby seat throws.

       Most are worked in soft DK weight yarn (one is worked in fine weight yarn), and a variety of stitches keep them fun and interesting! Sets include: Annabelle's Rose, Blueberry Dreams, Post Stitch, Lengthwise Ziggy-Zaggy, Ziggy- Zaggy Horizontal Stripe, Easy-Peasy Seed Stitch, A-Tisket A-Tasket, and Just For Fun. Taylor's brother Connor advised that these sets would also be great for stuffed pets such as his favorite horsie!
