"Granny's Roses" Spring Bouquet Baby Afghan

       Granny's Roses Spring Bouquet Baby Afghan was featured in June 2006's issue of Crochet World. It is worked in superfine baby yarn, but a fine baby yarn would also work as long as you are mindful of the gauge. The blocks work up quickly and easily, and this is a great on-the-go or "pick up" project.

       When sending a gift for a new baby, I always try to include some small but special item for older siblings to make them feel special and included. I have designed matching "Dolly's Blanket and Pillow Set," which you can see here. For a toddler-aged brother, a plain granny square blanket (such as the one included in Treasured Heirlooms Crochet's Cozy Caftan Set) in "little boy" or bright primary colors would make a great wrap for a favorite stuffed animal.
