Rock-A-Bye Baby Book by Columbia Minerva Beehive, Book 738, Columbia - Minerva Corporation, nd (probably 1950's). A variety of projects in sizes infants to 3 years; CROCHET two layettes (bonnet, sweater, booties, and blanket) -- one of these in afghan stitch (aka Tunisian Crochet) -- a blouse, and two or three afghans. The rest of the designs are to KNIT, and include several layette sets, sweaters, blankets, caps, hooded sweaters, matching mother- and- daughter cardigans, several toddler-size brother & sister suits, and more. May have name on cover, some cover wear, but mainly good condition.

Cover totally detached from staples, heavy cover wear, booklet has been folded in half lengthwise. Despite the wear, pages are in good condition.

Some "foxing" on cover; most of book in very good condition, but pages containing instrutions for Shell Mesh Baby Set and Knitted Carriage Cover discolored, with some spoting and pencil marks to keep track of rows.

Shows its age some -- brown spotting (foxing?) on one page, spine worn. Slight rippling at bottom as if it may have gotten damp.

Cover slightly soiled, very good condition otherwise except for Sleeveless Sweater/ Sacque page, which is heavily annotated and dirty.

Set with Sacque - Bonnet - Bootees, Zigzag Pram Cover, Bonnet, Booties, Bottlecover, Mittens, v-stitch Sacque, shell Sacque. Cover is kind of a mess but pages in good used vintage condition. (Shows its age but still has a lot of use left in it!)

Designs for infants and toddlers include : KNIT Butterfly Sacque, Soakers, Bonnet, Hood, 2 styles Mittens, two styles Creepers, Pick- Up Shawl, Mother and Baby Set (Bed Jacket and slippers for Mom, and Kimono and Booties for baby), Legging, two Cardigans. three Pullovers, Jack n' Jill Jumpers (one with skirt and one with shorts); CROCHET Honey Bunny Bonnet, Pixie Hood, Butterfly Sacque, Bottle Cozy with matching Mitts and Shoes, Ruffled Sacque with matching Bonnet and Booties, Hat, Monogramed Carriage Robe, Crib Blanket, Bunting, Cardigan. SERIOUS CONDITION PROBLEM -- book is actually in very good condition, EXCEPT that something (maybe a mouse?) ate the top part of several page corners! There is some damage to photos of items, but only one pattern is affected --part of the second row of shoe strap instructions is missing. You may be able to fill in from context. All other patterns are intact. I would have tossed this book in the recycling, but -- just look at that cutie on the cover!

Sacque & Booties set, shell stitch Blanket, loop stitch Teddy Bear, Sweater, Cap & Mittens set, Cardigan. SERIOUS CONDITION PROBLEMS -- this book is about 70 years old and looks every bit of it! It was obviously much loved and much used -- and may even have another 70 years' wear left!

Good condition in general -- age wear, and marks along the bottom where the booklet has been damp. No page sticking, no musty odor that I can detect.

Messy at spoine --staples slightly rusty (may have been damp at one time?), slight yellowing at spine, cover worn at spine and ripped about 1" up. Otherwise very good used condition.

SERIOUS CONDIITON PROBLEMS: Much- used book -- very worn, folded in half, splits up spine. Some nice designs, and everything is intact and readable.
